Goodbye Minnesota

It is my last night in Minnesota. I should be packing, but my mind is busy thinking of the three years we spent here, and my heart is heavy as I prepare to leave this wonderful place and wonderful people. I am thankful for memories so I will never forget our time here.

I will miss...
Living "on our own", away from our roots. We solidified ourselves as a family here.
Cabins "up north".
Oxbow Zoo.
Apple Orchards in autumn.
Welcoming visitors and cherishing our time with them.
Our violin teacher.
Celebrating holidays in our first home.
The friends we've grown to love. You know who you are!
Every moment spent with Scott, Kara and Will. They are our best friends, always there for us to sympathize, laugh, and have fun. We're so lucky we are family too!

Here's to three years full of growth and wonderful memories.

I echo your thoughts exactly. Change is exciting, but oh so hard.

On a VERY selfish note .... I REALLY can't wait to see your cute family.

When things settle --- please call. 801-850-8388

Oh shoot! What a bummer! We are sad you are leaving. Sam and Sarah have been asking for Caleb and ivie a lot lately. I'm sorry we missed you at the park. I'm sorry (for myself) that we didn't get to have you over one last time. Bummer! But I'm excited for you and hope you enjoy your next step!

So where are you guys off too now? Has it been 3 years?? Wow! I have those same 'farm dreams' you have. Maybe that's why I enjoy spending so much time in our garden.

Minnesota will hold a special place in our hearts too. Your family has been on a grand adventure. You have given much and received much from the place and the people. You are better because of MN and MN is better because you were there! Congratulations on an adventure well lived. And welcome "home" to further adventures!
Love, Mom

Congratulations on an adventure well lived in MN. Minnesota is better because you were there and you are better because of MN - the places and the people. Welcome "home" to grand new adventures and more wonderful people to know and to love. We are proud of all of you!

And Minnesota is missing you, too. Love those pics with the farm... I have the romantic idea of farm life, too - and then I remember farmers get up when the sun is still down and I am grateful I am just a regular city girl.

I feel misty just sympathizing with you. Aren't happy memories a wonderful blessing. As I look back on old times it's so much easier for me to remember the GOOD times. Another great blessing.
I too am looking forward to "our time". Last Thanksgiving we enjoyed our meal in our Miami apartment with just us. I loved it. I thought of what you said during one of our long chats :). I felt badly that you weren't going home for Christmas and couldn't believe that you were looking forward to it. Now I know.
I look forward to reading about your first memories for your next chapter in Logan. Best Wishes.

You don't know how much we miss you guys! At least 5 people have mentioned in passing how they miss the Mortensen's! I heard you got a house and are getting set up. I'd love to see pics and hear how things are going. I'll try to call your friend or drop something off or something. We miss you guys so much! Hope the UT is treating you well : D
