I heard somewhere that in motherhood, the days go by slowly but the years fly. I'm grateful that some days seem long...long enough to enjoy my babies (all 5 of them). Wes's aunt JoAn said it perfectly, "Holding a baby is the bestest! A clean house is nice, but you can always clean another time. A baby is only a baby for a little tiny while."
Thing are peaceful round here, much more peaceful than when I was a crazy pregnant lady! The children are so happy about Joseph. Norah can't keep her lips off him and always wants to see, "the baby boy." Caleb asks to rock him and snuggle him while he's sleeping. Ivie holds him while I tend to the little girls. It is amazing to have children old enough to help...really help! Jane lets me know with great concern whenever "boy" is crying and sad. She is the binky police and keeps track of hers AND Joseph's (I know, I know. She is far too old to have a binky, but now is not the time to fight that battle.)
I'm grateful that, for a while, time stands still after having a baby. Perhaps it is God's way of encouraging me to see the miracle in my arms.

Yeah!! He is adorable. I am glad that he is such a good baby. I love how the older kids respond to new babies. So fun.
Lorinda! This was so sweet! We are in the same stage in life with our new babies! Some days are long and time does seem to stand still but it gives us time to stare at these beautiful babies and be in awe that they are really ours! Joseph is so beautiful! Hope you are feeling well & taking it easy. It is so nice to have helpers..as big or little as they may be.

Wow - how perfectly precious! I love him. I love all of your kids, they are wonderful but most of all I think it's because I love their mommy. I really need to incorporate your philosophy more into my life. My "problem" is that Emily wants to be held ALL DAY! :)
