Jane has changed since I posted the swollen, but cute hospital pictures! She is 5 weeks old and is a wonderful baby. She sleeps and sleeps and sleeps. I've never experienced this before in a newborn! We love her.
Before Jane's birth, I spoke with my father about the chaos, tension and overall craziness we were experiencing in our home. Most of this was due to multiple children waking Wes and I multiple times during the night. My wise father suggested that things may improve after the baby joins the family. Often people (little people included) can sense when we need to 'step up to the plate.' How happy I am to report that my father was correct. I thought HE was up in the night, but my children have really stepped up to the plate since Jane's birth. Caleb literally woke us up every night for 7 years and usually ended up in our bed or on our floor. Now, he sleeps in his bed all night. Miraculous. I never thought it possible, but I miss his late night visits!
A good friend recently told me that when you have three kids, you realize you have kids. When you have 4 kids, you realize you have a lot of kids. That is true. I have a lot of kids, but I'm thankful for the opportunity to spend my days with ALL of them!

Oh she is just beautiful! Snuggle and kiss her neck or me, that is the part I miss the most, that and the sweet baby smell.
Oh my word Rin, I love your post. I have been meaning to call you with an update on your family. I miss all of you! Sweet Jane looks like a tender little one. I'm so glad that her spirit has brought blessings to your home :) All of your kids truly are amazing though, even with the craziness sometimes. I love them. Well I hope you're doing well, and recooperating ok. I love you!
Rin, you are such a good Mom! And I LOVE playing with all of your kids! They are each totally different, and they are each a handful in their own way.... but each is completely lovable! (According to spellcheck, there is no "e" in lovable.... hmm.) They are each my "favorite", but right now I am mostly enamored with Norah! She makes me laugh constantly, and I just love how she runs up and jumps into my arms. And just like their Mom, each of your children is terribly photogenic! Keep up the good work!

Darling pictures! They change so fast. I am glad that you are doing so well. Eva is NOT sleeping well. Not at all. She is are very worse sleeper. Jane is so beautiful.

So fun to see pictures of the cute kids!! Especially little Janie. Do you call her Janie? I think it is precious. She looks so sweet. I'm GLAD she sleeps for you, people are not their best selves on too little sleep. When Will saw these pictures he said "Hey! Ivie and Caleb grew up mom?!" Then he said "We should go to their house and see how they growed up, I miss Caleb and Ivie."

Lorinda your family is so cute! I remember the stories of Calebs late night visits...I'm so happy for you guys that he's doing so great! We miss seeing you!

I wish you were in Rochester still. I am heading to the Mayo Clinic for my headaches the first of April, and wish I could cuddle Jane, and the rest of them. Maybe when we head to Utah sometime...
Oh, and the new picture of Jane are adorable, by the way. Looks like the family loves her!
Rin - I agree with what you said on my blog --- we need to get together! You/me/kids or with the hubbies, I don't care. We need the chance to adore each other's little ones in person I believe. Let's set a time & make it happen....
Seriously, how she changed! Wes said he would send her in the mail to me because I told him how much I missed her. Haven't seen that package yet! She is beautiful and I cannot wait to hold her again. I also love Ivie's hair!
