I absolutely adore you! What a strong young person you are full of life, ideas and energy. I appreciate how you try new things, even when those new things are scary or intimidating. You completed the soccer season, even though you were nervous for all the games. You knew that Dad and I weren't pushing you into it; you decided to see it through to the end all on your own. Remember performing your violin for recitals and the nursing home, singing "Calypso", and reciting "The Crocodile went to the Dentist" for various talent shows?
You have such a tender heart. Each morning before school, we give one another a 'kissing hand', then I watch you run off to the bus stop with your huge backpack bouncing up and down. You are so kind to me and Dad, and are a fun big brother to your sisters.
You are a grateful person and often say thanks for the most simple things that others overlook. Last week, you were so anxious for your new summer sandals to arrive in the mail and so grateful to us for getting them for you. You are a voracious learner and have become an expert in so many things (rocks, dragons, machines, animals, money).
I love your sense of humor and your contagious laugh. You laugh so easily and love to be silly. I'm proud of the person you are becoming. I'm thankful you are mine.
Love, Mom

Lorinda, How beautiful! You certainly tell your children, in many ways, how much you love them. This will be part of a beautiful legacy for them. MOM
That is so sweet! I love Caleb, too. He is pretty easy to love.
Grandpa Glenn
Great letter.
What a great time I've had catching up on your life. I got out of the habit of reading your blog, but now it's full of new posts! Do you know what it fun for me...that even after all of these years, we still have so much in common and I can relate to your life in so many ways. I'm glad you shared the bit about your "Bugles Picnic". I can even relate to that! :)
I love getting to know your adorable kids. Aren't kids the best?
We miss you guys. I'm so glad that everyone is doing well and life is good for the Mortensens!
It was so fun to see you guys!! Thanks for making the effort. Caleb is one of those people I just love, and I love what our boys come up with together! (Even if the drinking fountain may need a little TLC :)
